Help trailblazers Gale & Katie and Elle & David end the silence and stigma by supporting hyperhidrosis stories in the StoryCorps Archive.
Research shows that for healthcare professionals, time pressures, a perceived lack of treatments, and costs often get in the way of candid hyperhidrosis conversations. But for sufferers and loved ones, it seems like it's often unawareness, hopelessness, fear, embarrassment, or past bad experiences that propagate silence.
It doesn't have to be this way. Listen. Record. Share.
Q: What does research tell us about Hyperhidrosis? A: Listen to Hyperhidrosis 101
What is hyperhidrosis really? In this episode of the KnowSweat podcast series we tackle the definitions, the data, the basics...and the heart.
Sit back and lean in for a fascinating conversation with distinguished guests, hyperhidrosis experts and co-founders of the International Hyperhidrosis Society, Dr. Dee Anna Glaser, Dr. David Pariser and Lisa J. Pieretti. Colleagues and co-revolutionaries in the under-represented world of excessive sweating, these three friends have been working for nearly two decades with a shared mission to make life with hyperhidrosis (and despite hyperhidrosis) easier, better and less lonesome.
But we don't want to give it all away. Grab your headphones or speakers and tune in now.
EADV Successes Launch Us into a Month of Building!
The International Hyperhidrosis Society thanks the global hyperhidrosis family for empowering our work at the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology's (EADV) Annual Meeting in Madrid earlier this month!
Supported by your donations, IHhS was able to educate more than 150 physicians during our 4-hour Subspecialty Meeting on Excessive Sweating alone! We also spent two days sharing perspectives and experiences with dermatology professionals, industry representatives and fellow international nonprofits at the EADV's Patient Society Village.
We're so grateful to our dedicated leadership of Dr. David Pariser, Dr. Dee Anna Glaser, Dr. Carl Swartling & Lisa J. Pieretti, MBA for lecturing at the EADV with expertise and insight. Great learning starts with great teachers!
