A Warning to Know Your Sweat! |

A recent story from the UK reminded us of the importances of knowing the cause of your excessive sweating--or of your patient's. The story was about a young man who died after the malignant cancerous tumor growing in his chest was repeatedly missed by doctors. The patient's complaints about a variety of disturbing symptoms, including excessive sweating, were repeatedly ignored, until the correct diagnosis was made, just days before he died. |

The European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) has two major events on its educational calendar this year--and BOTH include hyperhidrosis education for physicians! In June, David M. Pariser, MD, IHHS Secretary and founding board member and American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) President, delivers a lecture at a joint EADV/AAD review course in Munich, Germany. In October, the IHHS will again be presenting at the EADV's Congress--this year in Berlin.
