These are just a few of the criteria judges in numerous third-party competitions have used to evaluate the International Hyperhidrosis Society’s Know Sweat education campaigns, and our Web site SweatHelp.org.
Since we started in 2003, we have worked hard to raise awareness of excessive sweating among the public, healthcare professionals, industry experts, and the media. But while there is still much to be done, we are pleased to announce that we’ve made great progress and the proof is in the awards we’ve won.
Of particular note, the Teen Sweat 101 workbook has won a “Best in Category Grand Award" for brochures/consumer awareness as part of the Mercury Excellence Awards. In addition to winning a Grand Award, the Teen Sweat 101 workbook was also recognized with awards for excellence in its writing and design. In the year of our award, Mercury awards received over 930 entries from 17 countries. Other organizations winning Mercury Grand Awards include: Accenture, FedEx, the University of Pittsburgh, MasterCard Worldwide, Old Navy, Goodyear Tire & Rubber, and Unilever.
As part of the Astrid Awards the International Hyperhidrosis Society's Web site (SweatHelp.org) was recognized with a Gold Award for Web sites in the non-profit category and a Bronze Award for Web sites in the educational category. The Astrid Awards are an international competition honoring outstanding achievement in design communications. The year we won, Astrid Awards received over six hundred entries from 15 countries.

Awards (in addition to the Mercury Excellence Awards mentioned above) include top honors for the Teen Sweat 101 campaign from the Magellan Awards for communications campaigns, a “silver finalist” designation from the SABRE Awards for both the Teen Sweat 101 and Know Sweat campaigns, and a “platinum” award from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals for Know Sweat.
We could not do this important work without your support and feedback. Please continue to stay involved so that we can continue to launch new programs improving the quality of life of those affected by excessive sweating.
