Show Us Your Excessive Sweating Artifacts

(February 2005) Has excessive sweating damaged your clothing, shoes, paperwork, musical instruments, furniture, or artwork? Do you carry a kit of supplies whenever you leave the house so you can "deal" with excessive sweating? If your answer is "yes" then you can help us show the world just how damaging excessive sweating can be.

The International Hyperhidrosis Society is putting together a one-of-a-kind exhibit of hyperhidrosis "artifacts." The exhibit will be displayed, over time, in multiple venues and via multiple forms of media. Its goal is to demonstrate the severity of excessive sweating and to overcome the common misconceptions about the seriousness and severity of the condition.

We all know that pictures and other visual images can be much more powerful than words so show us your power! Submit your excessive sweating artifacts to the International Hyperhidrosis Society and be a part of this unique, influential exhibit. We'll be happy to accept photographs of your damaged items or photos of you as you go through daily life coping with hyperhidrosis. Or, send us items that have been ruined, or damaged, by too much sweat. We'd also like to receive examples of a day's worth of supplies (towels, pads, wipes, etc.) used to cope with sweating. Please include a brief "story" with your submission that puts the photos or materials in context and explains how they demonstrate the ways in which hyperhidrosis hugely impacts your everyday life.

Your artifacts and photos will become property of the International Hyperhidrosis Society and will be used as part of public displays. Please include your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address with your submission.

Mail your package to:

International Hyperhidrosis Society
18 South 3rd Street
Philadelphia, PA 19106 USA

After we've received your package we'll send a release form for you to sign which will give us permission to use your items, first name, last initial, and hometown, as part of our exhibit. So please be sure to include your contact information along with your artifacts!

Thanks in advance for participating in this dramatic visual statement. Watch this newsletter for information about where and how the exhibit will be displayed.
